Grupa Azoty launches new edition of its acceleration programme Idea4Azoty 2030

Grupa Azoty is set to launch a refreshed version of its Idea4Azoty programme, which aims to facilitate collaboration between Grupa Azoty and providers of innovative solutions for industrial applications. The project is targeted at universities, research institutions and start-ups.

After enrolling in Idea4Azoty, participants will be offered the opportunity to work with Grupa Azoty representatives on the development of innovative solutions for future implementation at the company. Applications for the programme may be submitted via idea4azoty.grupaazoty.com until April 15th.

The selection process has four stages: formal application evaluation, substantive evaluation, interviews with applicants, and selection by a team of experts. The selected participants will be provided with financial, infrastructure, implementation and mentoring support.

‘For us, collaborative partnerships with research and academic communities and start-ups are a way to acquire innovative solutions that can later be implemented across the Group. The project’s name, Idea4Azoty 2030, is no coincidence. Last year we unveiled a new strategy for the Group until 2030, which is focused on green projects and technologies. I strongly believe the acceleration programme will deliver solutions supporting our climate and energy transition and sharpening our competitive edge in the fertilizer and chemical markets,’ said Tomasz Hinc, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A.

Apart from our original Idea4Azoty programme, the company also participates in external acceleration programmes, such as KPT ScaleUp and Impact Poland. In partnership with the Kraków Technology Park and FundingBox Accelerator, Grupa Azoty experts evaluated over 600 applications and conducted nearly 140 in-depth interviews, resulting in 24 accelerations that involved nine Grupa Azoty Group companies. The efforts taken so far have resulted in four commercial implementations, with four cooperation agreements signed for the coming years.

‘At Grupa Azoty, we actively search for opportunities to work with partners offering innovative solutions with strong potential for implementation in the business environment. Idea4Azoty provides a unique innovation development platform that combines the potential of the innovator community with Grupa Azoty’s knowledge and extensive experience. All interested parties are warmly encouraged to participate in the programme. There is a lot to gain. In addition to financial assistance, participants will also receive infrastructure, mentoring, implementation and legal support,’ notes dr Grzegorz Kądzielawski, Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A.

Idea4Azoty updates are regularly posted on idea4azoty.grupaazoty.com and Grupa Azoty’s social media.

Organisational support for the programme as well as the required infrastructure and tutoring for participants is provided by the Research and Development Centre of Grupa Azoty S.A. Consortia comprising two or more partners may also participate in Idea4Azoty.
